Please read these terms carefully before using our services.

Welcome to The Joyful Wife. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website located at thejoyfulwife.com, our online membership, digital courses, community platform, coaching services, and any related content or communications (collectively, the "Services"), operated by Tamera Chapman, The Joyful Wife ("we," "us," or "our").

By purchasing, enrolling in, or accessing any of our Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not access or use our Services.

Section 01

Agreement to Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Member," "Client," or "User") and The Joyful Wife. By accessing our website, purchasing a membership, enrolling in a course, joining our community, or participating in any calls or events, you agree to these Terms in full.

If you are accessing our Services on behalf of a minor or another individual, you represent that you have the authority to bind that individual to these Terms.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes via email or a notice on our website.

Section 02

Services Offered

The Joyful Wife provides the following:

  • The Joyful Wife Gathering — a self-paced online membership course for Christian wives, hosted on Skool

  • Digital workbooks, PDF resources, and bonus materials — delivered digitally as part of membership

  • Weekly live Q&A calls — group coaching sessions via video conference

  • Community access — a private online community for members hosted on Skool

  • Podcast content — free educational content published via The Joyful Wife Podcast

  • Email communications — newsletters, course updates, and coaching resources

We reserve the right to modify, add, or discontinue any component of our Services at any time. Where a material change affects paid members, we will provide reasonable notice.

Section 03

Eligibility

To access our Services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Be a legally married woman or woman in a committed relationship seeking to grow personally

  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement

  • Not have been previously suspended or removed from our Services for any violation of these Terms

Important: Our Services are designed for personal development and marriage enrichment. They are not intended for individuals currently experiencing domestic violence, abuse, or situations requiring immediate professional intervention. If you are in an unsafe situation, please contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 or visit thehotline.org.

Section 04

Accounts & Access

When you enroll in our membership or purchase a course, you will create an account on our platform (currently Skool).

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials

  • All activity that occurs under your account

  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

  • Ensuring your account information remains accurate and up to date

Accounts are non-transferable. Your membership is for your personal use only. You may not share, sell, lend, or transfer your account access, login credentials, or course materials to any other person. Violation of this provision may result in immediate termination of your account without refund.

Access to course content is contingent on your membership remaining active and in good standing. If your membership is cancelled, paused, or terminated, your access to course materials, live calls, and the community will cease accordingly.

Section 05

Payment & Billing

By enrolling in a paid membership or purchasing any of our Services, you agree to the following payment terms:

  • Monthly membership: Billed automatically each month on the date of your original enrollment. Your membership continues until you cancel.

  • One-time purchases: Charged in full at the time of purchase.

  • Pricing: All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change. We will provide advance notice of any price changes to active members.

  • Payment methods: We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as listed at checkout. You authorize us to charge your selected payment method for all fees incurred.

  • Failed payments: If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you and may retry the charge. If payment cannot be collected, your access may be suspended until the balance is resolved.

  • Taxes: You are responsible for any applicable taxes in your jurisdiction. Prices displayed do not include taxes unless stated.

Section 06

Refund Policy

We stand behind the quality of our content and want you to feel confident investing in your growth. Our refund policy is as follows:

7-Day Satisfaction Guarantee: If you enroll, complete the first two modules, and genuinely feel the course is not the right fit for you, contact us within 7 days of your purchase date at hello@thejoyfulwife.com and we will issue a full refund — no pressure, no hard questions.

Outside of the 7-day window, the following applies:

  • Monthly memberships: You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing cycle.

  • One-time course purchases: Non-refundable after the 7-day window, as digital content is immediately accessible upon purchase.

  • Live calls and events: Non-refundable once attended. If you miss a call, recordings may be available within the membership as applicable.

  • Exceptions: We review refund requests on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to decline refunds where we believe the guarantee has been abused.

To request a refund within the eligible window, email hello@thejoyfulwife.com with the subject line "Refund Request" and your full name and purchase details.

Section 07

Intellectual Property

All content within The Joyful Wife — including but not limited to video lessons, workbooks, worksheets, PDF guides, frameworks (including the STEER tool, the Marriage Table framework, the Heart Check, and all original course structures), written content, branding, logos, graphics, podcast episodes, and community posts authored by us — is the exclusive intellectual property of Tamera Chapman / The Joyful Wife.

What you may do:

  • Access, download, and print materials for your own personal use

  • Reference course concepts in personal journaling or private reflection

  • Share your personal transformation story publicly, referencing the course by name

What you may not do:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, or sell any course materials — in whole or in part

  • Share login credentials, workbooks, or content with individuals who are not enrolled members

  • Use our frameworks, tools, or content to create your own courses, coaching programs, or products without explicit written permission

  • Record, screenshot, or redistribute live Q&A calls or video content

  • Remove copyright notices or branding from any materials

Violations of these intellectual property rights may result in immediate account termination, and we reserve the right to pursue legal remedies to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Section 08

Community Conduct

The Joyful Wife community is a private, members-only space built on mutual respect, faith, and genuine support. By joining, you agree to uphold the following standards:

  • Treat all members with kindness, dignity, and respect — regardless of where they are in their marriage journey

  • Keep all personal information shared by other members within the community strictly confidential

  • Do not give unsolicited advice, diagnose, or counsel other members — offer support, not prescriptions

  • Do not promote, advertise, or solicit other services, products, or businesses within the community

  • Do not share content that is sexually explicit, violent, politically divisive, or contrary to the Christian values on which this community is founded

  • Do not post content that demeans, attacks, or targets any individual — including your husband

  • Honor the spirit of the community: this is a space for growth, not venting, gossip, or husband-bashing

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these standards and to suspend or permanently remove any member who engages in conduct that is harmful, disrespectful, or contrary to the community's values — without refund.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Our Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we are committed to delivering high-quality, impactful content, we make no warranties or guarantees — express or implied — regarding:

  • Specific outcomes or results in your marriage or personal life

  • Uninterrupted, error-free access to the platform or content

  • The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information provided

  • The suitability of our Services for any particular purpose

Results Disclaimer: Testimonials and examples shared in our marketing materials represent individual experiences and are not a guarantee of the same results for all members. Your results will depend entirely on your individual effort, commitment, circumstances, and willingness to apply the material.

We do our best to ensure all content is biblically sound and practically grounded, but we disclaim any liability for decisions you make based on the content of our courses, calls, or community.

Section 10

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Joyful Wife, its owner, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages arising from or related to your use of our Services, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of income or revenue

  • Emotional distress or relationship harm

  • Loss of data or content

  • Any action or inaction taken in reliance on course materials

  • Technical failures, outages, or platform interruptions

In no event shall our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or our Services exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Section 11

Not a Substitute for Professional Counseling

Important Notice: The content, frameworks, and coaching provided through The Joyful Wife are intended for educational and personal development purposes only. They do not constitute — and are not a substitute for — professional mental health counseling, therapy, marriage counseling, psychological treatment, medical advice, or legal advice.

Tamera Chapman is a certified life coach and marriage mentor. She is not a licensed therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, or medical or legal professional. The information shared in our courses, calls, and community is based on coaching principles, biblical wisdom, and lived experience — not clinical treatment.

If you are experiencing:

  • Depression, anxiety, trauma, or other mental health conditions

  • Domestic violence, emotional abuse, or physical harm

  • Substance abuse — your own or your spouse's

  • Suicidal ideation or crisis

  • Legal issues related to your marriage or family

We strongly encourage you to seek appropriate professional help. Our Services are designed to complement — not replace — professional support. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency services immediately.

Section 12

Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. By using our Services, you acknowledge and agree to our collection and use of your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We collect information you provide directly (such as your name, email address, and payment information), information collected automatically through our website (such as cookies and usage data), and information shared within our community platform.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our business (such as payment processors and email platforms) under appropriate confidentiality obligations.

All community content shared by members is visible to other members of the community. Do not share sensitive personal information in public community posts that you would not want other members to read.

Section 13

Third-Party Platforms

Our Services are delivered in part through third-party platforms, including but not limited to:

  • Skool — our primary course and community hosting platform

  • Stripe or other payment processors — for secure payment handling

  • Zoom or similar platforms — for live Q&A calls

  • Email service providers — for communications

Your use of these platforms is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies, which are independent of and separate from ours. We are not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of any third-party platform.

If Skool or any other primary platform changes its terms, pricing, or availability in a way that materially affects your access to our Services, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you and find an alternative solution.

Section 14

Termination

By you: You may cancel your membership at any time by logging into your account and following the cancellation instructions, or by contacting us at hello@thejoyfulwife.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to our Services immediately and without prior notice if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have:

  • Violated any provision of these Terms

  • Engaged in conduct harmful to the community, other members, or our business

  • Shared, copied, or distributed our proprietary content without authorization

  • Provided false information during enrollment

  • Engaged in fraudulent or illegal activity

Where termination is due to your violation of these Terms, no refund will be issued. Where termination is initiated by us without cause, we will provide a prorated refund of any prepaid fees for unused access.

Upon termination, your right to access our Services, community, and course content ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) shall survive.

Section 15

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Informal Resolution: Before initiating any formal dispute process, you agree to first contact us at hello@thejoyfulwife.com and give us a reasonable opportunity (at least 30 days) to resolve the issue informally.

Binding Arbitration: If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, both parties agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or our Services shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court, except that either party may bring a small claims court action if the claim qualifies.

Class Action Waiver: You agree that any arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against The Joyful Wife.

Nothing in this section limits either party's ability to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in court for violations of intellectual property rights.

Section 16

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page

  • Send an email notification to active members

  • Post a notice within the Skool community

Your continued use of our Services after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must discontinue use of our Services and cancel your membership.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.
